Based on the annual forecast released by the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS), this indicator reflects the year-on-year growth rate of semiconductor market sales in the Americas region. It covers product categories such as logic chips, memory, analog chips, optoelectronic components, and discrete devices. The data can be used to analyze cyclical fluctuations and future growth potential in the North American market. The calculation method is: (Forecasted sales for the current year − Sales of the previous year) ÷ Previous year × 100%.
The spring forecast is released in June and the fall forecast in December, projecting semiconductor sales figures for the region for the current and following year.
