Description
This indicator reflects the year-over-year growth in forecasted annual sales of optoelectronic components, including image sensors, LEDs, and photodiodes, as published by the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS). These components are widely applied in optical communication, automotive systems, and imaging devices.
The spring forecast is released in June and the fall forecast in December, projecting semiconductor sales figures for the category for the current and following year.
