This indicator, released by the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA), tracks the monthly semiconductor sales in the Americas, primarily including the United States and Canada.
The Year on Year (YoY) growth rate is used to compare the data of a particular month with the same month in the previous year, reflecting the growth or decline during this period.
The data is updated monthly and compiled by the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS). It is based on reports from 49 member companies, which submit monthly sales data through regional data collection agents who aggregate and anonymize the information before delivering it to WSTS.
