This indicator, released by the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA), tracks the monthly semiconductor sales in the Americas, primarily including the United States and Canada.
The Month on Month (MoM) growth rate is used to compare the percentage change in data between a particular month and the previous month, allowing for the monitoring of short-term sales conditions and trends.
The data is updated monthly and compiled by the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS). It is based on reports from 49 member companies, which submit monthly sales data through regional data collection agents who aggregate and anonymize the information before delivering it to WSTS.
