The data is aggregated by the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS) from its 49 member companies, who report monthly through regional data collection agents that anonymize and transmit the data.
The 3-month moving average is calculated by averaging the sales figures for the past three months. This method helps smooth out short-term fluctuations and provides a clearer view of underlying trends.
