Description
Japan Industrial Robot Production - YoY is published by the Japan Robot Association (JARA). This indicator measures the year-over-year percentage change in industrial robot production and is used to assess the growth and overall health of the industrial robotics sector, which is a key component of Japan's manufacturing industry. A higher YoY growth percentage indicates strong expansion, while a lower or negative growth rate suggests a decline in production.
Broadly speaking, an industrial robot is an automatically controlled, reprogrammable, and multifunctional manipulator or multi-joint robot used in production activities. It can perform various tasks in industrial automation, either in a fixed position or with mobility.
The indicator is annual data, updated in the middle of each year.
