Description
The RTS Index is a market capitalization-weighted index compiled by the Moscow Exchange. It consists of the 50 largest and most liquid Russian company stocks traded on the Russian Trading System (RTS), and is denominated in U.S. dollars. The RTS Index serves as a key measure of the overall performance of the Russian stock market and economy.
Note: The constituent stocks of the RTS Index are the same as those in the MOEX Index, which is denominated in Russian rubles. Russian investors generally prefer the MOEX Index, while international investors tend to favor the RTS Index.
