Description
China's New Energy Vehicle (NEV) Production for Pure Electric Vehicles (EVs) is compiled and published by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). This indicator measures the production volume of pure electric vehicles within a given month. It is often used to gauge the growth and development of the new energy vehicle sector in China, as well as to assess the country's progress towards reducing carbon emissions and promoting green energy. A higher production volume indicates a thriving NEV market and progress in environmental goals, while a lower volume may signal challenges in the industry or policy impacts.
The indicator is calculated by aggregating the total number of pure electric vehicles produced by manufacturers during the given month. The data is collected from various automobile manufacturers and compiled by the MIIT.
This data is updated monthly and is typically released in the middle of the following month.
