This indicator, released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and based on China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) statistics, measures the monthly production of crossover-type passenger vehicles in China. These vehicles combine SUV styling with sedan platforms and are popular among urban and younger consumers.
