This indicator is published by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) based on data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). It tracks the cumulative production volume of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) in China since the beginning of the year. PHEVs feature dual powertrains and represent a key transitional product in the electrification process.
