The "China Passenger Vehicle Sales" indicator is published by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA). This indicator is based on surveys that focus on passenger vehicle in China. Under the narrow definition, the survey includes sedans, MPVs, and SUVs. The broader definition of passenger vehicle expands to also include sales data for minivans.
The survey covers not only Chinese domestic brands but also includes brands from various countries, such as German, French, Korean, American, other European, and Japanese brands.
Month-on-Month (MoM) measures the percentage change between the current month's data and the previous month, helping to track short-term sales performance and trends.
The data is typically released around the 10th of each month.
