Description
France Real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in US Dollars is compiled and released by the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE). This indicator measures the value of all goods and services produced by the French economy, adjusted for inflation and expressed in US dollars. It is a key indicator for assessing the overall economic performance and growth of France. A higher GDP figure suggests a healthy economy, while a lower figure may indicate economic difficulties.
Real GDP is calculated by adjusting Nominal GDP for inflation using the GDP deflator, which is derived from the prices of a basket of goods and services. The resulting figure is then converted to US dollars using the current exchange rate.
The data is updated quarterly, typically released around 45 days after the end of each quarter.
