Description

Singapore Nominal Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in US Dollars is compiled and released by the Singapore Department of Statistics (DOS). This indicator measures the total market value of all final goods and services produced within the country during a specific period, expressed in current US dollars. It is used to assess the economic performance of Singapore without adjusting for inflation. A higher nominal GDP indicates economic growth, while a lower figure may suggest stagnation or contraction.

Nominal GDP is calculated by adding up the current market value of all final goods and services produced within the country during a specific period. It comprises consumption, investment, government spending, and net exports (exports minus imports). All figures are expressed in current US dollars.

The data is updated quarterly, with preliminary estimates released one month after the quarter's end and final figures released in the subsequent quarter.
